Internal Assessment at DPSP College:

Internal Assessment at DPSP College Internal assessment is an essential part of the evaluation system at DPSP College. It focuses on continuous evaluation of students’ academic and practical performance throughout the academic year.

Number of Internal Assessments Each subject typically includes 3 internal assessments per academic year Conducted at different intervals (e.g., after completion of units or modules)

Components of Internal Assessment, Internal assessment is based on multiple criteria:

·         Unit Tests: Written exams based on specific portions of the syllabus which helps evaluate understanding of topics.

·         Assignments & Presentations Homework, projects, or seminars Improves research and communication skills.

·         Practical/Lab Performance Assessment of skills in laboratory and clinical settings Includes procedures, accuracy, and technique.

·         Clinical & Field Work Performance during hospital and community postings Observation of professional behavior and patient care.

·         Attendance & Participation Regularity in classes Active involvement in learning activities:

Objectives of Internal Assessment:

·         To ensure continuous learning and improvement.

·         To identify students’ strengths and weaknesses.

·         To reduce exam pressure by regular evaluation.

·         To prepare students for final board examinations.

Importance: Encourages consistent study habits Enhances practical and clinical skills Contributes to the final result/grades.
