Scholarship opportunities available
for CTEVT‑affiliated 3‑year programs in Nepal (Diploma/PCL level) under the
Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT):
1. Classified
Scholarship (Targeted/Quota‑Based)
This
is the major government‑supported scholarship from CTEVT.
Who
it’s for: Students from marginalized and disadvantaged groups, including:
v Dalit community
v Ethnic groups
v Women
v Conflict‑affected
families
v Former
Kamaiya/Haliya (landless labour groups)
v Students from
remote areas
How it works:
Applications are collected province‑wise
through selected institutes and provincial offices.
v A scholarship selection
process is conducted according secured SEE marks by CTEVT.
v Scholarships are
then allotted based on merit and quota categories.
v Each CTEVT‑affiliated
program has a fixed number of scholarship seats depending on total
enrollment quota.
CTEVT what it covers?
Typically full
tuition fee waiver for the entire 3‑year program (exact benefits depend on the
specific scholarship/notice).
2. Merit Scholarship This
scholarship rewards high‑performing students:
Who’s eligible:
Students with top performance in the scholarship/selection exam related to the
program at admission time.
How it’s awarded:
v Usually one student
per program/institute receives merit scholarship based on performance.
v For second and
third year, the award may depend on academic performance in previous
year/semester results.
